Love the take here. You nailed the positioning shift: “they improved the interface and branding, making it more accessible.” That is a real unlock, especially for people who do not want “tools for programmers.” Also love the practical prompt: pick something sitting on your computer (Downloads mess, messy Excel files) and go hunt the “magic moment.”

Quick question from the coding side: what kept Codex CLI (OpenAI) from making your short list in the same way? I have found it excellent and surprisingly dependable for coding tasks, arguably more consistent than Claude Code when the codebase gets real.

Your post reads like you are seeing Anthropic’s “product market fit moment,” which might be true. I am just curious if the Codex path got a real trial, or if this is more about the narrative and branding energy you are seeing from Anthropic right now.

I like the OpenAI ecosistem and use it as well as gemini, mostly as a model for cursor. I did not like their extension for vscode so probably the reason why they are not in my top of mind.

Its actually tied to the max tier, not the pro tier, so that starts at 100$ a month 😩

Yes. Lo estan limitando a su plan de $100 o mas.

Another thing you can do is use the API key and Claude Code with this similar usage.
